Update – UK events:

As part of the bicentennial of the birth of Mikhail Bakunin a Workshop on international Bakunin research will be held in Berlin (Germany) on 31 May 2014. In the workshop three presentations will be given by Bakunin researcher Wolfgang Eckhardt concerning sources, editorial principles, and research perspectives, followed by discussions of the results. On May 30, 2014 we will be celebrating 200 years of Mikhail Bakunin (1814 – 1876), a famous activist of the Russian and international revolutionary movement, a social thinker and one of the founders of the international anarchist movement. The organizing committee of the international conference devoted to Bakunin’s  bicentennial invites historians, social scientists, other researchers, Bakunin enthusiasts and anybody who is interested in Bakunin and anarchism, past and present, to participate in our conference which will be on July 12-13, 2014 in Pryamukhino (Tver’ region, Russia).
